the Power of the Moon

who are you mr. moon

what is your powerful tool

you draw hearts

like a haunting tune

you transform the wisest

into acting a fool.

where is your thought or reason

you shine without any true light

can your power last more than a season

or wane

disappearing into the dark night.

where is your compassion

I see etched on your face

is it merely a disguise

concealed in your seductive light

do you live by your own rule

or laugh at the weak

like a wet suit I cling

to your strength

just tonight

will you allow wisdom

to return to the fool.

	I enjoyed this...The moon amazing to look upon...yet it almost seems lonely....I read a quote somewhere that I really like..."There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls."...chilling in itself...very well done... Respond To This Comment
