Fantasy Dream
My fantasy lover comes to me in the night
And strums my body like a fine instrument.
To keep him there, I hold on with all of my might
So he doesn’t leave ‘til I’m relaxed and content.

He hits all the right notes in our endless love song,
Yet, ‘til we meet again in life, I have to wait,
To reminisce about our love affair, to long
For his very real touch to come and satiate.

Imagining him, I feel inebriated
Without taking a single sip of my glass of wine.
The way we connect, I believe we were fated
To be united as each other’s Valentine.

Each time we meet, far superior than the last,
Future delights often overshadow the past.

I really like this one too! I always thought a sonnet was so hard. You did this one what seems effortlessly! Great poetry that I am glad to have read!
