Just Words on a Page
have you ever written to someone that you've never met?
like casting out a line to see the friend you might get?
as someone once said...they're just words on a page
and not a reliable way for a personality to guage.
maybe i'm too trusting and way too naive
maybe i'm foolish and too eager to believe.
but if you look back to the days of yester-year
when people wrote to pen pals with nothing to fear.
she could reveal to a "stranger" the secrets of her heart
and somehow he'd know how she put the horse before the cart.
his strong sense of justice would certainly come shining through
just by the words... written to the one he never knew.

There are dangers. And I sometimes think it was safer in "yester-years" as well. Sometimes I think things have gotten worse. It's hard to find a safe place on the world wide wed.

I think words on a page...are a better gauge than looking in a strangers face...
But alas, they can both decieve.

I guess it takes time to know someone.  But it IS by what a person says AND does that you know them.

Nice, smooth write lady. :o)

Hugs,
Pamela
