The Housework Can Wait

klickety-klack...

what will happen?

when your boat is safely locked up in the shack,

and the fishing poles are carefully hung up on the rack,

when it's too cold and snowy to give the golf balls a whack,

will you ever go back to your keyboard to announce...hey, I'm back!

klickety-klack...

or will you say?

I have alot of paperwork to do, just look at this stack,

I really need to get busy with housework...and get out the vac.

I might have some amusing stories to tell...for which i will never lack,

but this thing called communication...I think i might have lost the knack.

and i will say to you...

Ok, FINE...I'll just have to hop a rail and come klickety-klack,

I'll be spending the winter getting ready and my swim suits i'll pack

So if you dont answer this invitation that involves YOU and Big Mac,

I'll be coming for You and Suzie Homemaker...to kidnap and HI-JACK!

Author's Notes:

Big Mac is Lake McConaughy. Invitations went out to friends to meet at the lake where we all grew up. Some accepted with enthusiasm...one in particular is dragging his feet. Poor fellow, he needs to get out more. He refers to himself as Susie Homemaker when it's time for him to do housework...a poor substitute for fun...(smile) Guess i have no other choice than to get out the blind fold and handcuffs..
