multi-colored stones
constructed a patio
not young anymore

This says a lot.  I tried to lay a rock patio once...ended up tearing it all and hiring a professional.  LOL, it was hard work.

Yes, I know about this one...appreciating your little Hiaku for we of that "certain" age have learned to marvel at the dustpan with a long handle; the weed-puller that cinches itself around the middle of the plant so we can pull it out; the trash can on rollers, thank goodness for ancestor who gave me curly hair so I can wash and wear! Good Luck with the patio - we paid $7600 for an installation that collapsed within 3 days; took them to court and won in small claims but he had incorporated himself by name which we didn't know; he appealed and since we didn't file against the corporation, it was dismissed w/prejudice in county court; now he says he will re-do the patio but if he doesn't, back to court we go.  We wish we had done it ourselves; aching backs would have been okay if we had been more aware of  these unscrupulous contractors.
