Deep within the confines
Of this feeble shattered life
Are our out stretched failing feelings
That often bring us strife
Living not to call upon
Any outward social reason
Our painful coexistence
Gathers agonizing seasons
Given everything we offer
Not to compromise
Brings bitter revelations
To our distasteful lives
How then must we manage
This submerging civil sense
When its plain to everyone else
Our own intolerance
A question we are well aware
Inside all of us
Who suffer the painful feelings
Of being called worthless
Author's Notes:
Words often hurt people worse than physical pain
Have a nice day......Fletch

(c) He shows the weapons the wicked use, when power and force fail them.

Wesley's Notes

140:3 Tongues - Using words as sharp and piercing as the sting of a serpent.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

3. sharpened . like a serpent-not like a serpent does, but they are thus like a serpent in cunning and venom.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

140:1-7 The more danger appears, the more earnest we should be in prayer to God. All are safe whom the Lord protects. If he be for us, who can be against us? We should especially watch and pray, that the Lord would hold up our goings in his ways, that our footsteps slip not. God is as able to keep his people from secret fraud as from open force; and the experience we have had of his power and care, in dangers of one kind, may encourage us to depend upon him in other dangers.

Yes words hurt more than a strike of the hand. Being called worthless, or anything of any nature, is as bad as being slapped and dragged down.. Always remember the ones who throw words of pain are the ones with the pain, for to hurt others and lash out with words of such, is reason of their own hurting and pain and needing to bring someone lower than them is the only way they can make it better on themself..

 A most moving poem ...
There are those out there who love to use there verbal tongues to only hurt people and they think there so smart
and really all they do is show there real color
of who they really are..
These kind of people will hang there self...

I have seen it here on our site and among so called friends..!!
But in the long run it is them who will suffer judgement day!!
Cast aside what is distasteful to us......there not worth the trouble.. there lives are just so boring they like
starting trouble

You should have put this in venting.....
