Wings
Wings

Give me wings and i will fly
Through rainy days and cloudy skies
Soar the thermals on mountain slopes
Above the snow which always gropes.
I would fly so high and disappear
In words that only birds can hear
Give me wings and i will fly
Through summer days and moonlit skies
Through golden fields of wonder
Over sun-kissed meadows
In darkened skies that thunder
Give me wings
And i will fly.

The feeling of freedom is steller, John...That line about groping snow seems kinda forced, though....yer pal, len

This is just amazing. The rhythm and the rhyme is perfect. Wings of love makes the world go round.

this is beautiful, John.  your words stir the imagination and free the spirit to soar.  Each of us experience these elements in our life but how lovely to have someone who gives us wings that take us to these heights...."to fly so high and disappear in words that only birds can hear"...love that thought!  Linda
