Slow that Mustang Down
The purr in my soul vibrates, securely.
Surely uncovered, so come on, Insure me.
Inspect my carriage, outside and in.
Suds me up, rinse me, wax me in sin.
Silky and shiny, touch my behind.
Rev me up and I'll roar as designed!
As we go faster and faster in greed.
I take in the wind and my need for speed.
Pushing my button, I get this urge.
On impulse I get an exotic surge.
The horsepower kicked in, I'm bucking wild.
The stick, switch gears, I'm not trucking mild.
A lean machine, if you know what I mean.
An art to the eye, all polished and clean.
Exotic in leather as you enter the vault.
The climax ends when we come to a halt.

you know, my first car was a 1966 Mustang with that awesome little 289 V-8.  As much as I loved that car, I don't think I've ever seen/heard of that particular kind of "hot wax" job.  Pushing the button always prompts that urge, doesn't it?  Oh, and congrats on the award, too!

loved your metaphor...enjoy!!   not everyone gets the opportunity to drive their little mustang this fast and furious so dont put on the brakes too soon...little mustangs haver a way of slowing down on their own...just remember not to go so fast that you miss the beautiful scenery...Linda
