The Leaf

There once be a green leaf tumbling

But it has never touched the ground

It was flying and taking its time to kiss land.

There was a big distance between the two

Though everybody thought they were so close.

But the distance was an abyss of years

A little child wanted the green leaf to tumble

He took it bitterly and threw it nowhere.

It was moving through the unknown universe

It was still sustaining just because the wind whispered.

This was the leaf destiny

Its sort ere coming and being part of the dead bough

Because of its lightness the wind did steal it

And made it fly unwillingly

The leaf continued its gloomy journey

It doesnít want to come back to the old tree

It returned to tumble so quietly near the brook

As if it was thirsty, but looking not for a drink

It was rather in need to water its pains

In all of a sudden, the rude child re-appeared

He wanted to make the end

He took it bitterly and tore into pieces

The leaf was no more

There remained but its stem

The last string of the aching guitar

That stem wept the leaf sort

If only it wasnít separated from the old bough

It wouldnít suffer in such a way

Though the bough was but a dead one,

It was the only one to hear its beating heart

That heart couldnít be touched or seen

The beauty of nature was
when the leaf was hung on the bough ..
Author's Notes:
The Green leaf is an aching sort of all of us.
Someone who got a bitter experience can journey and weigh every word.
Do Dive and live the story.
Yours, Bahanny
