Weeping willow by my side,
I often wondered why you'd cry.
I would see you pick up in the sky,
and watch you reach out to heavens light.
How I wondered what it'd be like,
night after lonely night.
I lay beneath your shade,
and listen to your branches,
day after wonderous day.
Weeping willow by my side,
I no longer wonder why you cry.
It must be terribly difficult,
to witness heavens angels
and their glorious flight.
Yet  knowing the knowledge of ,
never being able to play.
And when the God's bring down their pain,
in the wind and lightening and rain,
how frightening it must feel,
to have to stedfastly have to remain.
So close to heavens door,
but not able to go in,
though you are perfect and humble ,
and without evil or sin.
Weeping willow by my side,
I will lay here and as long as i can,
dry your brittle and frail lonely tears,
that fall continually from your green eyes.
Author's Notes:
Another poem from my previous page. I added and changed a few things as poetry sometimes improves itself in the eyes of its creator. I hope you like this one . It is one of my fav,s that I wrote.

Weeping willows have been the inspiration of artists and poets alike for generations and rightly so in my opinion, they are both beautiful and mysterious and a foil for the imagination as is your poem~Graham.
