Stars that Color the Night
Who are the stars?
Each pink star in the midnight sky
represents the final kiss
between two lovers...
Seperated by the waves of the sea...
or torn from each other's arms
by hands of iron.
Each iridescent green star
represents the first kiss
a newborn baby receives
from his mother.
I believe
stars never forget
the sight of two hearts
 who once walked as one...
No matter how short or
long their journey.
These stars are shimmering silver
and sparkle like crystals.
When you see a star
bathed in sapphire blue
think of your first passionate kiss!
Stars in the early morning sky
are dressed almost the same as the rainbow
that appears in the daylight after the storm.
These stars are clothed in coats of many colors.
They signal the dawning of a new day
with blue skies and
new horizons.
This is my loyal friend...
Today i must say good-bye.
You have lived a long life of faith and joy.
I will see you again in the Paradise.
These are the stars made
of the finest
Author's Notes:

Hanane wrote Who Are the Stars! and invited others to follow up where she left how could i resist? She is the inspiration for this piece. The stars stir our imagination, inspire hope, dreams, regrets, memories, the what ifs? and why nots?  they give us a reason to peer into the night recognize and give thanks to our whom we owe our existence along with the stars.

You followed up smartly what I started Linda. As if you heard what I couldn't continue. let me tell you it is not always the original one which is the best. i like yours so much, it is another open door for who wants to follow up the journey. This poem will go to my fav. This what I call poets link.

We are lucky to have such a golden heart and mind.

Stars are endlessly inspirational and magical and you have captured that here. :-)

I did find the non use of capital letters a bit of a shame for me...maybe some do not mind but at least I am honest...and you do ask for detailed critique.
Punctuation can make or break a poem but that is my personal opinion.
Lovely otherwise
