Dark Night
I am the whisper in the shadows, I am the flicker of movement to the side, I am the one who whispers your name by your ear.   You're alone, on a dark sidewalk, you hear nothing, the street lights have gone out.   I hear your quick heart beat, like a scared bunny rabbit's, you're afraid someone will hear, but it's too late, I already have. My foot steps on dry leaves, making them crackle. You scream bloody murder like, but no one is there to hear you.   I laugh a laugh which is not happy, but one that chills you to the bone. I know that your blood runs cold with fear, you see another flicker of movement, you turn and see me behind you, the timeless beauty of a predator, it makes your breath stop in your throat.   'Hello', I say so nicely, my head tilts to the side. I have made you speechless, an old primitive fear tells you to be afraid, terribly afraid. Your heart beats frantically, I smile, I can hear it so clearly, and I step closer and you stay so still, my power has come over you.   In the blink of an eye, I move, my fangs pierce your neck, you feel only slight pain, and then the erotic sensation of your blood being drained, my mirthless laughter is the last thing you hear, as your heart stutters it's last beat.
Author's Notes:
this is a rendition of Ezraeil's poem that she has given me permission to do. it is from my point of view, the killer's.

A most enjoyable read with just the right amount of emotional fear injected into it~Graham.

Oh and how we revel in the kill, such sweetness it is. I love what you've done to it, far superior to mine, this is the thing in which nightmares are created.
