~The Weeping Tree And Me~

There is a sinking feeling
residing deep within my chest.
I ventured out today
feeling somewhat depressed.

I took my woeful sorrows
out to my weeping pine
her branches bent low, like my soul
beneath her limbs I climbed.

I told her of my misery,
and she listened without judement.
I shed tears to cleanse my soul
she thought nothing of it.

So together in the heat of the day
the weeping tree and me,
spoke to one another
quietly and unashamed.

She lavished me with her sweet perfume.
For moments I felt some gloom lift away.
I hugged her close with a warm embrace
grateful I had her to talk to today.

Nature makes us feel so much better when we are so down....
I know I am a creature of nature..
Born under a full moon I love the night...

 You write so lovely...
