"Like a poet needs the pain"
Bon Jovi

Here I find myself caught in reverie.

Sanguine lips, thighs, yearning .

Far away over seas of aquamarine

he waits for changing seasons.

The sand is on his mouth where he kissed the red earth;

While his spirit sings softly of days wrenched from his grasp.

Still, in the night air

 I feel him,

This is very lyrical and very heartfelt -- the way that it seems to come out in breathy, breathless phrases is just perfect.

A powerful evocation of love and loss Alison. I especialy liked this line:-

The sand is on his mouth  where he kissed the red earth;

It seemed to evoke so much.

Oh sweet Ali this is beautiful, so rich and gentle with soft yearnings and passions

that sail across a silver sea to life itself.

Thankyou for sharing.
