A haunted house in every town
has “trick or treat” ghosts at sundown,
a murder mayhem history,
always shrouded in mystery.
Attic with nests of vampire bats
and tall steeples like witches hats,
asylum for maniacs so scary,
always shrouded in mystery.
Passersby that run terrified
of blood curdling screams from inside.
Traumas told low and whispery,
always shrouded in mystery.
A haunted house in every town,
always shrouded in mystery.
Author's Notes:

OOOOooooOOooo this is a delightfully scary poem. Ahh...the mystery, isn't it wonderfully tantalizing!  Well done!

By the way    "Word Bank" is new to me.  What is it?   Please and thank you.

You are right.  Every town seems to have at least one.  The two I know of in Lebanon and West Lebanon NH both had people living in them, but oh, how we trembled as we approached the "Haunted Houses"  Sure wish the children had the same halloweens I had as a child.  But, they don't and it is sad.
