Season the air with thoughts of fall,
when tree leaves curl into rolling wind-rows
and frost gathers quietly on the window panes;
when children hide in layers of sweaters deep enough
that no one knows for sure ... whom is who.
Bold clouds congregate in the tempest wind
pushing the summerís warmth
southward for the winter.
Cool, crisp, and sharp to the naked skin,
fallís breath of crushing, iced winds has arrived.
Trees transform their silk, green gowns
into empty, wooden skeletons silhouetted
against the cold, blue sky.
Chills travel down my neck,
under my collar
and further down my spine,
trembling my soul
and rearranging my thoughts
towards hot chocolate.
Blow, ye winds of frozen life,
let nature caress your frozen core
until winter buries summer within the earth.
Let fly the frigid snowstorms of tomorrow
for tonight I light a fire,
write my prose,
and hibernate, snug and warm.

Author's Notes:
Fall, with its colorful nature changes, cool weather and Autumn harvests, is my favorite time of the year.  I sleep better, breath better, and smile a lot more.  I love the crispness of cold air on my bare arms.  A vest is usually enough for me.  Snow on the other hand, I treat like my real father ... "I didn't put the damn stuff there and I'm not going to move it."
Enjoy !!

Oh, yes....this is vibrant and cozy at the same time....The coolness of Ol' Man Winter but the softness of a mug of hot chocolate....You have brought us great visuals and many glimpses of the changes....Nicely done....
