The Legend of Alferd Packer
Close your ears to the blandishments of hope
The presiding Judge he said
Listen not to its fluttering promises of life
You to be hanged by the neck until your dead
Prepare to meet the spirits of thy murdered victims
The judge continued on
Prepare for the dread certainty of death
Alferd Packer was jailed before dawn
Packer allegedly consumed his companions
A claim in which he denied
For the hopelessly lost out of provisions
Who to say who lies
The truth can be stranger than fiction
This is another tail
At the time of his death he had vegetarian breath
Since he was released from jail

Gosh Fletch not someone l have heard of but interesting stuff.

They really did invite the neighbours for lunch!!!

This is an interesting poem that sucks you in, but it makes me want to gag.  Makes my turkey wrap not too tasty.
