Dancing In The Moonlight
My heart is very heavy tonight.
Trying with all of my might
to make it light.

Don't do alone very well
some nights.
Piano music and ballroom
dancing takes my troubles
away some nights.

After so many years of being alone,
I'm still used to having someone
to come home to.
Some nights I frequent a
piano bar my friend owns.

Would by lying if I told you
that I wasn't crying all night.

Tears were pouring so much
it was hard to write with such
blurry sight.

Hope to feel better soon,
it will be nice to enjoy
the piano player tickling
the ivories in the bar
tonight.

Where is God when
I'm in so much pain?

With such authority,
why doesn't he stop
these tears that pour
like rain?

At least he could
waltz with me to
the baby grand
trickling in the moon
light tonight.

I'm sure he's
light on his feet.
He's God,
he invented
the feet we
dance on.

Think I'll take a
seat and look
up at the stars
until he comes
to dance with
me tonight.

Being lonely is no fun. Your idea of dancing in the moonlight with God is very creative.

"Chin Up" me gal! He always comes. I know this from exsperience. Spent many lonely nights in the piano bar, sometimes still do.. But with a lighter heart. Years showed me a better light and it will you too. I promise..
