A Poets True Love

   A Poets True Love

Remembering the loneliness of the night.
Like a lone star in the field of twilight.
Don’t want to be seen in the morning light.
A shell of a man looking for love’s insight.
Sensing the night shadows stealing its way in.
A Nightingale prays for a new dawn to begin.

The poet retrieves the pen with his hand.
The world takes a view of his heart again.
Witness first hand another heart expression.
His soul and heart beat to your satisfaction.
Exploring a world of a poetic heart conquest
Separated by time and space the author is blest.

You found a door in my heart open by you.
I let you look in with an unrestricted view.
You had reached in and pulled love thru.
Giving me memories I was long overdue.
Remembering those times together we knew.
You had to move on why are we through?

I owe to you a wealth of vivid night dreams.
The former world has replaced you it seems.
Where is that door to lock memories in?
I’m just a poet  they call me a shut in.
Surviving a night of a poetic heart conquest.
Separated by time and space I am still blest.

You had first ownership to every passion express.

Outside the Nightingale hears another request.

"Work thru the night together we won’t be alone.”

"You have my words and rhyme to put to song.”

Surviving a world of a lover’s heart conquest.
Separated by time and space we both are blest.

Dan - I really liked this work, It is encouraging, knowing that I'm not  a lone male who enjoys writing poetically.

Dan -  There are times when I have felt like I was one of the few men who thought in poetic terms; who incorporates life around him in

the way he see's  his life.  It is encouraging.   I really liked this work.

This is a beautiful write, obviously written from the heart. There was one line that especially struck a chord with me and that was...You had first ownership to every passion express...

A touching piece

Hello Mazurek,

A lovely work which gives us, in a rich style of writing, a very personal and clear look into the tender heart of the poet!  Great job!

Greetings: Peter
