Kaleidoscope of Love

One day my love will open her eyes
and see the mess Iíve made.
Itíll make her mad.
Iíll make her sad.
But, it will make her life less afraid

for in her heart sheíll know me real well
and of the mess my life could be,
if she were not there
to teach me to share
and to open my mind to be free.

My emotions are learning itís time to come out.
Itís alright to be heard, I have worth.
Hidden feelings werenít lost,
but what was the cost?
My silence Ö from the day of my birth.

To hide my feelings is what I was taught,
but she has the right to receive,
a love message from me
if from my heart it comes free.
From my heart it is not make believe.

How can I open my heart any further?
Itíll burst from an amorous strain.
Itís foolish I know
to let my feelings not show,
but in past times it has always brought pain.

In the morning sheís there with the gray fritzy hair
which stands out in such a mess.
Then comes a smile
and in a short while
emerges the woman that God did bless.

He gave her no minks or fuzzy furs
to live a life of bliss,
but work and toil
and blood at a boil
and a husband who misses her kiss.

How can I tell her of the love that I have,
of my pride when sheís at my side;
to walk through my life
with her as my wife
from the day when she was my bride?

What I was taught in the past is still there,
but it doesnít determine my way.
The future is mine Ö
rainbows really do shine.
My promise of an enlightened new day.

"To hide my feelings is what I was taught,
but she has the right to receive,
a love message from me

The hard shell has been cracked. Been there myself and it feels like being reborn once you make that breakthrough. This is a great write straight from the heart. cheers, Df

Gene, WEll ...I think you have now done just that this is just so heartfelt and I Think you need to write more about love.. There is so much inside of you .. you just have to let it come forth...
I love this poem so much......
