Silent Fire Storm

A gentle breeze puffs,
removing the hot sticky air from my body
replacing it with a cooling sensation
as an earned sweat evaporates from my skin.
The day is changing.
A new life form is felt in the cool, stirring, air currents.
Murky gray clouds accumulate overhead,
causing a gloomy shiver to be added
to the light filtering … squeezing through the heavy overcast.
Higher and higher the clouds climb, forming giant,
towering thunderheads required to build an electrical storm.
Crack … and everything turns spooky white
as the rumbling explosion of electrical energy
Split’s a golden pathway through the atmosphere.
Lightning loudly announces the presence
of a newly formed and excited thunderstorm.
Excess energy from the earth and clouds
initiates a fire storm in the sky unequaled by
anything ... outside the realm of experiencing
the birth of one’s offspring.

Author's Notes:

Thunderstorms are beautiful,
but pale to the excitement of the birth of one's child

being single myself, I wouldn't know about the birth of one's child, however I can agree with you sentiment about the thunderstorms. very well written, I truely have enjoyed this,
