What permanence is this
In my daily grind
Heaven lent it's kiss
But eyes to me were blind
You could end this lifetime
In a single moment
I am naked to your thoughts
What restless spirit
Inside me bides
What permanence inside me

is there a war raging between the desire for permanence and that of being a free spirit?  a conflict with the wish for stability...and being carefree?  this appeals to my sometimes fickle nature...desiring change but wanting to keep my feet on solid ground.  you make us think.
