With Darkness Comes.
What is it comes with darkness
That swirls and forms in allyways
Within our very city lights
As if to hide from sunlights rays
In dark and dampened corners
With paled and yellowed eyes
That gorge upon our very souls
Like dead men laid on pyres
Could it be forgotten sins
Or those laid at our door
By the sick, depraved and deviant
That prey upon the innocent and poor
With darkness comes the unknown fear
Of panic, threat and chills
But for those that live within its realm
Its an ecstacy of thrills
So what does darkness mean to you
Sweet dreams now put aside
Is it your own soft comfort zone
Or a nightmare now to ride.

Wonderful piece here Graham. The darkness always comes forth for many.. It's what we do with it that is up to us. A place of peace for some, or a place of horror for others..

Nicely done..

Very pertinent question Graham. Seems like many teenagers for instance, are drawn to the dark side.
( I was at one time) Darkness can be two very different things and from the shamanic point of view it is sheltering womb-like where we go at times in order to know real growth.
Great thinking
