Winter Never Ends...Showcasing Our Young Authors
cobwebs and deadly spiders, crawling
when will it end
pain stains my skin
stupidity takes control
motivating sin after sin
an arctic winter, howling
there's ice on the ground
It's always the same
the frost's on the inside
and your heart's filled with rain
my hollow heart of ice, screaming
why do I scream
plead for the past
on my knees I pray
hoping this won't last
dark resentment with wings, soaring
my heartz a burnt whole
insane...ashamed, enslaved
while I drown in the darkness
my hunger is restless
I breathe in the stench of decay, gasping
what have I become
what's in a name
when clouds are crying
drowning me in shame
Malicious thoughts, sprouting
seventy three winters landed on my head
we are the forgotten men
quiet and vapid,
our lamentations, silent sorrows
no tears to weep
my hollow screaming heart
freezing cold to the touch
like shining diamonds
the cold's on the inside
staring out at the rain
and there's ice on the ground
it's always the same
skull knocking against my shoulders
spiderweb hands
as each day shrinks past
I am anything but alone
these shivers remind me of you
tears of longing freely flow from my eyes
snow keeps falling
when winter never ends

Author's Notes:
I have woven together the words from some of our talented young poets.  I wish to showcase their work this week and  I have found a theme that flows like a dream. Their lines are color coded and their names are listed in the order in which they appear.  I wish to thank our talented young poets who supplied the lines for this tapestry:  Ellie Girl, Kerina Sky, Lilly Taylor, Melody, JRocKK, Ekklesia., and Mahalarose.  I can hear your words echo back and forth.  You are all very talented...creative, dramatic, and intense.  Individually you shine...together you sing!

Linda Jo:  what a wonderful way to encourage and thank our younger writers.  This is great -- thank you for taking the time and patience to do this.
