No Words
No Words

Some people say an awful lot
Without the gift of speech
Some can be very vocal
But have no words to teach.

Some people speak
With blinkered eyes
A mouthful of tissue
And sweet mince pies.

I have my silent thoughts
Alone and priveledged
Only to my eyes
My world, my meander.

My eyes are the tongue
Of my silence
My words are no words
You could speak.

Observation and introspection, not a bad combo.  Well done

The eyes are more revealing then any words could be. I really enjoyed each line. Excellent

this was a great topic, wasn't it?  you did a great job on it, TJohn!  the first stanza has two meanings to me...talking alot with little to say and someone w/o the gift of speech but able to express many deep thoughts and feelings in other ways.  Eyes really do express so much and say the words un-uttered.."my eyes are the tongues of my silence"  and of course, the last line is incredible.  a gifted piece...

John,
What a great ending to the thoughts of a poet
the last part of this is brilliant...((

My eyes are the tongue

Of my silence

My words are no words

You could speak.
