Now here's a place I'd like to visit. Nice job with the chain haiku.

this is a wonderful string of haiku, linda jo - it transforms the reader to a place of tranquility and beauty - very well done.

The city where I live, Pretoria, has the nickname "Jacaranda City" because of the thousands of Jacaranda trees all over the city.  In spring time it is a explosion of purple everywhere, and it is breathtakingly gorgeous.
Lovely write!

Linda Jo:  thanks, I'll just grab this chair and got my mug of herbal tea.  Oh, thanks for the napkin, this is lovely.  I do love the purple flowers and the beauty of the desert flowers.   A toast to their beauty and your capturing same for us.
