Prejudiced Heart

black skin, oval eyes
a chair that rolls along
fat belly, balding head
a voice that sings no song
blue suit, tin badge
pony tail gray with age
a bigots eyes prevent a cure
life’s lessons turn to rage

helpful hand, outstretched love
ignorance denied
closeness felt within one’s life
prejudice only lied
friendship sought, never bought
eyes that see no rain
life is lived within one’s heart
life’s lived … with twisted pain
