I can hear the rain crash down

I can hear the rain crash down Ė

On silent waters where I look over to the island.

Salty air and lonely walks

On lonely shores

If the sea had a core

You could get lost in depths and width of forever.

Crashing at me as if telling me to turn away

Drunks throwing empty beer cans, and nets

Getting tangled in the waves

But youíve all said stuff you donít mean

Cast into the sea like rubbish,

Alone and my heartís no more than a stone

Youíre skimming at the horizon.

It sinks.

Echoes and reflections

In drowning winds and rock puddles

I donít want to hear another word spoken

You said you cared about me

Care now my eyes are colourless.

I watched you laughing

I watched you act sincere

I watched you right through me

And back to you again

I watched you so so fake.

Crashing at me as if telling me to turn away

And in-between the crests, thereís darkness

Where life lies forever

Sleep will come in just a while

And peace and maybe thatís when you finally understand everything.

And incase you were wondering

Iím broken.

And I was going to tell you everything tonight

About the cut in the sea

And then I was going to look around

And be fulfilled with life and know myself

New light, changing curves and prospects floating in dreams

But then I stared right through the transparent sea

And back to you again.

These lines captivated the readers interest, and there was no disappointment from beginning to end

I truely enjoyed this poem
