Enlightened Hands

I walk alone amongst the stars
having left my earthly home;
finding peace at last in eternal life,
it matters not where I should roam.

A thought, an emotion, a loving heart
are here within my reach.
They fill a void between life and death;
they are my very speech.

Beauty and splendor are all about.
At their heavenly feet I stand.
I pause beside the singing springs
and someone takes hold my hand.

His grip gives comfort, His countenance light;
His presence feeds my soul.
Without this man Id surely fail.
Within His light I stroll.

No fear of death within me stays.
Theres safety here I know.
His love for me is felt throughout.
Tis a debt I love to owe.

Author's Notes:

I do not look forward to how I will die,
but I do look forward to eternal death.

I hear ya....being dead is not the problem....getting from here to there can be a bit dicey.

Lovely, actually makes it like death is something to look forward to.
