Past, Present and Future
Your sadistic ways destroyed yesterday.
You made others believed I was insane.
Everything about you was so very wrong.
Everyone else heard a different song.

My heart no longer torn from your pain.
No longer just surviving under your reign.
Memory of those days washed away in tears.
I am finally happy now living out my years.

My heart has healed from a true love found.
Just watch the peace I have its all around.
His love has replaced the pain in my heart.
He has given my world a brand new start.

The gravity of those days held me down
His devotion to me has turned life around.
Love has helped me to forgive and forget.
God always rewards pain with the best.

I have chosen long ago not to have any affiliation with any religion, but that doesn't mean I'm an atheist. Humans have a basic need for spirituality in their lives for a reason. My favorite scene in "Oh, God," with George Buns as God was when, after being told by God that he had been chosen to be God's new spokesman on Earth, John Denver asked, "Why pick on me? I don't even have a religion."

God said, "That's OK.....I don't either."...len

Dan

What a wonderful thought.  That God is always there for us.  I hope so.

"God always rewards pain with the best."...I really want to believe that...it gives us a feeling of being worthy. Stirring post of pain and healing Dan.
