There was a man, who walked this land,
so many years ago;
He came in love, from up above,
the Cross His proof to show.
He healed the sick, taught the rich,
and made the blind to see;
He was a teacher, and a preacher,
and set His captives free.
No other name, has known such fame,
for Demons bow to Him;
God sent His Son, this chosen One,
to save us from our sins.
Upon a tree, they nailed His feet,
A crown of thorns He wore;
The time arrived, for Him to die,
His pain He felt no more.
Each drop of blood, that He gave up,
cleansed us from our sins;
And when we die, we’ll never cry,
in Heaven we shall live.
