What They Don't Know
Only you and God can really know
what it costs you to live each day;
that is why his judgment is righteous,
and it matters not what others say.

Some will accuse you of being weak,
with faults they think you freely embrace,
but they don't see your heart of hearts
when it's just you and God, face to face.

Others will measure you by your works,
or lack thereof, in their perception,
while vainly hoping, in some way, to buy
a heaven that fits their own conception.

But it is you and God alone who perceive
what stumbling blocks in your pathway lie,
so hold His hand and trust His strength
to lift you over and get you by.

THIS is something I've struggled to say to people for years, but never really have been able to put it in words. You've managed to make it understandable and clear in a way I never could. THANK you!

People see me as a weak person because I don't always stand up and get in someone's face for doing something mean to me, or for hurting me, but they don't always SEE or KNOW what I deal with on the inside...just as I don't know what might have caused that person to do something mean or hurtful to me. Compounding the issue by screaming and/or resorting to violence never fixes a problem.

This is a winner, all the way around.

Only HE knows what we go through on an individual basis.

Indeed....The connection to God is not a 'party line', so they have no way of knowing......
