Maya - Where all is Illusion and Only One Thing can be Known
I have been here before
On the outside looking in,
Like a wide-eyed urchin
Creeping up to the Duchess's window
To peer through, entranced
At the gaity of the ball within.
Somehow the merrier
That world within appears
The sadder the world without
You can put windows
Between yourself and a dark exterior
But the evening sky
Always fades into night,
And the distinction between sky and hill
Finally disappears into shadows.
We are all shadows,
Dancers and voyeurs alike,
Prancers upon Maya's great

Author's Notes:
I love the slow fading of the summer sky.

Fine penning David...there is more meat on the bones here than may be appreciated. Well done!

Yikes excuse my typos!
Make that: The complexity of your intellect...

Your complexities of your intellect always amazes me David. Like a fine tapestry the colorful lines mix with the deeper darker shades to create such finery.
I want to read this over and over again.
