A Moment of Luxury

A Moment of Luxury

It's gone, she sighs...
A fleeting moment when
the rains came.

Eastern sky above Superstition Peak,
Where daylight and shadows meet.
Wrapped in a soft apricot hue
the desert sunrise waits backstage
for its turn to shine.

Eyes are drawn to the Southeastern sky,
Following the path the rain has taken.
A striae of morning white and icy blue,
Hang like a sheer curtain
above the San Tan mountains...
the moment a smile breaks.

A pearly grey mist softens the panoramic view,
Sweeping the Western sky facing Casa Grande.
A rainbow is first to appear upon a silken cloud
and yet to unfurl,

a moment so rare it takes her breath away...

Suspended in the deep blue sky above the cloud
is the magestic full moon.
A cloud, a rainbow, and the moon...
These three beauties share the early morning stage
and offer one priceless gift...

A moment of pure luxury.

mother nature can sure create some good stuff, can't she? --- just like you, my talented friend.  love the warmth and vibrancy of the colors woven into a scene of breathtaking beauty - thanks for the journey

Sigh.... Sssssh, I'm having my moment of pure luxury... Okay.... Oh my! But this was superb. May I send forth another sigh please? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This was wonderful and I still can feel the inner workings of my thoughts moving about on a floating ecstasy of rainbows and colors galore. Oh did I mention I loved it? Well I did!!!
