Hidden in the Wine

If I can't find you in the kitchen, I'll look out in the hall.
If you're not under the bed, you're behind that wall.
Or you may be resting under the big oval rug,
thinking that's the best place to hide;
but no matter where you creep,
I'll search far and wide.
Nothing to stop me,
no one to know
that I love
you so
much;
can't
see
you
go
.
So,
every
hiding
place, and
cranny or nook
is where I'll seek you
until there's no other to look,
and then, if I still do not have you,
well, just be assured I'll not give up yet;
for you are quick, but I am smarter by far,
so you have not a prayer, my gerbil, my pet.

Author's Notes:
Sometimes you just have to combat the boredom with a nice glass of wine.
