Within My Heart

Within my heart the love still grows
of childish memories ... love sows and sows.
Acts of youth and ageless play
haunt me always and close my day
slowly living the clock of age
until Iíve turned my final page.
Then comes the winter, the age of snow.
Within my heart the love still grows
Within my heart the love still grows

Within my heart the love still grows
an adult matures and surely knows
of love for life and little brooks,
of endless stories unnamed in books.
Adults know thrills with pretty laces
and childrenís eyes on crying faces.
They follow a path where life doth flow.
Within my heart the love still grows
Within my heart the love still grows

Within my heart the love still grows
on hazy mists of winds that blow,
Carrying aloft both loves and joys
from kissing girls and little boys.
Ageless lovers still holding hands
with life advancing across the lands,
until at last in death they go.
Within my heart the love still grows
Within my heart the love still grows

Just a beautiful poem.  The pain of lost lost can often hinder a person ability to grow and love again.

As the fleeting years past..... So many changes take place in our lives and heart...
but if its a real love it never lets completely go......awesome poem it clutches my mortal heart....

I often think these days that love takes on a whole new dimension with advancing age.  Few of us know how to treat or appreciate it in youth, I fear.
