aue naturale
Aue Naturale
They say each of us has a twin
and yet I am unique.
I trained my goldfish in our pond to come to me
when I rippled the water with my fingers.
Even the prehistoric-looking plecostomos
heard the call and responded like a baby bird
waiting to be hand fed.
It must have been my talent
for catching small green lizards...
For I was the one they called to the break room
to rescue one of God's little creatures
before Kay put it to death
by using God's own book
as a weapon.
Nature's friend
at home in a national park, eating natural foods,
employing naturopathy, natural childbirth,
giving birth at home with a midwife
without uttering a sound
aue naturale...

A lovely poem but I don't know about the natural childbirth thing, that sounds a little scary.

You taught your gold fish to come to you? WOW, that is unique.
Who would of thought to use the sword of the spirit to slay that little dragon and Lord knows they heard my screams when I delivered naturally my first born!
You my dear, are a marvel to me and this beautiful poem delivered in 'aue natural" form sets your unique talent as one of a kind for us all to enjoy!
A delightful read full of charm that will go to my favorites.

it's easy to get lost in the beauty that nature presents us, if we only take a moment to observe.  you do a marvelous job of not only taking the time, but crafting your observations into words that bring appreciation and peace (of course, when i read you title, i was wondering if you'd been peeking in my hotel room window!)

There's nothing like the simple pleasures and simple treasures offered us in a minimalistic approach to a complex world.  Getting back to nature in our daily relationships with our Creator and each other would carry us a long way on the journey to self discovery, peace and happiness.  Nice work.  Tristan
