The First
Your breath is mine.
Why do you cry so, my dear? This is a happy time.
Those emerald eyes which weep only crystalline droplets of joy and ecstasy.
You lay next to me while I'm delicately whispering
that you have no reason to be afraid.

I would never tell you to let your senses fade;
but let them cascade over you like a shattered floodgate
which pours forth from your soul the very things that always beseech you for freedom.
It's okay to let go, and know that I am there
and that there is no reason to be scared
as I caress that velvet skin and silk fine hair.
Every gulp of air more intense than the last.
At long last, I have you, but never to possess.
For it was you who came to me without regrets.

And we share our breath,
and we clench our hands
tighter and tighter in each others' grasp.
You wrap yourself within my shelter
of satin finesse and passionate thunder.
And at last glance, we no longer have to wonder
if this is what is right.

Tonight, my dear, there's no need for tears.
Those fears that have consumed you are nothing now
but closet figures in shadowy shrouds
confronted together and made all better.
You've nothing more to whether alone.
And after this night, for certain, you'll know
and I'll be at your side.

So between the seems, just you and me,
with no others to witness but the bedroom sheets,
I'll give you the very best of me.
I won't lie and say the pain's forever gone,
and that I won't ever do you wrong,
but it's honesty that says it all
and that I'll do my very best
so that never once will you regret
these passionate events when you look back.
And we'll gaze at them together.
