From The Confines
Never thought you could hurt me with angry eyes.
Never thought I could love so much someone I despise.
Never thought you would hate me; enslave me with lies.
Oh God, why oh, why do we live just to die?
Never thought you would break me from inside
never thought I'd be weak enough to put that aside.
Never thought that I'd pray just to turn back time.
Oh God, why oh, why do I let myself cry...

I've tried hard to love you,
and believe me, I do.
But sometimes, I wonder if the same even goes for you.
You didnt mean to hurt me;
Yeah, I've heard it all before
with a kiss on the cheek as you walk out the door.
Because it never really happened.

Even now, as I write by the dim candlelight
when I'm feeling so low and just wishing to die
I know that it will be over wen you say it's time.
Oh God, why oh, why do we even still try?

And I lie alone in bed
with these thoughts plaguing my head
praying for death as I wait for you in dread.
You didn't mean to hurt me;
Yeah, I've heard it all before.
God, how I wish I had a lock on my door
so nothing else would happen
anymore.
