The Skirt Of An Electric Girl
I pretended to care,
for your sake.
You never repaid in kind.
You took me for granted, knowing that I'd never stray too far.
Knowing that I'd never stray at all.
And although I was loyal, a good ear, seemingly wise and willing to aid you in any way I could..
You forgot me.
For, the risk of love had enticed you into a stupor of draining capillaries and fleeting breaths.

the risk...
is it only I that would portray it in such a manner?

As amiable as I I pretended to be,
You got better, while I got worse.
And while the wise thing to do is to abandon this temple
I'm the captain, and I'm sinking with this vessel.
Author's Notes:

Your naiveté was bliss
Lost in the subtleties of unfamiliar lips

Intriguing and engaging...  with an extra shot and a twist...  and the Captian of his soul takes down his own vessel.  Interesting -- searching for salvation in this.  Good writing.  Tristan

so she gave up the love of someone who was only pretending to care.. for her sake? !  How horribly disloyal of her, how wonderfully arrogant of him,  poor pet.      : )
