Sweet Blue Eyes
I never thought,
that I cared
that much
until the day
I saw her
sweet blue eyes
cry.

I never thought
of myself
as an angry person
until I saw
all emotion drained
from her beautiful
face.

I never thought
myself to be one
who sought revenge
until the day
I heard that
woman say those
words to her.

I never want to
see those sweet blue eyes
cry again.

I never want to see
 that beautiful face without
its emotion again.

And I'll never let that
woman hurt her again.
Author's Notes:
This one is for my best friend. Her mother found out that her and her best friend (another girl) had been dating for quite some time. Her mother then forbade them to be able to spend the night at each other's house. It's understandable of course, but still. If that woman makes her cry ever again like she did that night...... there is no way that I will stand by and do nothing.

This is such a beautiful poem and a wonderful cry of friendship and devotion.  Give her mother time and she will either except her daughters life stile or she never will but your friend is just lucky to have you in her life. Always Maggie.
