Crimson
Crimson lips.
Stained flesh with a kiss; pursed with dissonance;
a bitter concoction of fury and remorse.
I feast upon those subtle embers
that flicker in the wake of my own destruction.
You shiver.
Icy skin freezes us in time.
Everything is faded to a chilling blue,
save for the vibrant pools that paint our skin.
Crimson reminders.
Release, and life binders.
Selfish actions.
Bitter rebuttals.
But your eyes still furrow with the sting of grief
beneath the rage, guilt, and loathing.
You hold me.
We float in dark suspension
while the essence of life passes.
I got my fill of anguish,
but yours has merely begun.
The swan song sung,
you lay rose petals over my eyes
to hide from your own reflection.
Retribution
lurks.

Tia,

I guess it's time to wash away the fading color

 of crimson from your hair.

All the best,

Jamieson
