A Seaside Burial For The Memories Of My Lover
I sit here to forget you
in this graveyard by the sea.
The seagulls dance in the wind,
while the crows are hiding amongst the tombs.
I look out to the deep blue
and wonder how I came to be here,
mourning the loss of my heart,
which is drowning with the rising tide.
The ghost of you haunts me
With eyes like the blue sky,
Alone here in this place,
Where the dead speaks
 like the wind whispers.
A thousand times I miss you,
how I'd miss the air to breathe.
My memories of you dance on the tombs
the setting sun casts shadow
upon mourning flowers.
Tears fall upon the
violet roses,
staining them forever
with the love I have for you,
deeper than the bones
beneath my feet,
and the blue sad ocean beyond the cliffs.
I won't stay here for an eternity,
Hoping to see your face again,
beautiful as the day,
haunting like the night,
or wish to hold you in my arms
until the end of everything.
I will scatter your ashes to the winds,
Into the indigo sky,
For a fleeting moment in time,
The happiness I felt when I
Looked at my darling,
And the way I knew he felt
When he looked back into my eyes.
