Winterís End

Cold rain on frozen ground.
Headaches and sniffles soon abound.
Jackets on Ö in the morning air
are left at school on the studentís chair.
Daylight stored during winterís long night
is freed in the morning for early delight.
Daylight becomes longer as winter become spring.
Snowflakes midst raindrops the dark clouds bring.
Birds ... gone for the winter, will quickly return.
The last cord of firewood is in to burn.
Spring will arrive in a very short time.
Itís time for planting, a time for grime.
Dirt from the garden becomes soil on my pants.
Seeds in the packages become rows of new plants.

Hey Gene,

Reading this lovely tribute to the changing of the seasons did give me the feeling of being part of it all!  I could actually feel what you wrote....

Bless you in this new year!

Greetings: Peter
