Teacher Propagation

Four legs, a top,
A surface bare.
Stools surround
a table there.

Students come in
sit down to study.
To mold a mind
Tíis teacherís putty.

An open mind
Is willing to learn.
Unwound gears
Are about to turn.

A little spirit
Builds self esteem.
The milk is good,
 But soís the cream.

Let thoughts surround
The creative mind.
A reaching child
Is hard to find.

The teacherís job
Has just begun.
The childís study
needs loads of fun.

If fun is there
the child will try
To reach and find
The clear blue sky.

Another day
To stretch the thoughts
Form paper macheí
To flower pots.

The class has ended.
Itís time to go.
Let teaching thoughts
Begin to flow.

The mind has learned
Itís subject well.
In time only
Will its lesson tell.

Go, teach the child
With the smiling face
For itís you he follows.
Itís you replaced.

Author's Notes:

This was written for my wife's professor in college
but now it fits her also.
Teachers provide educations to our youth so that their students may become
the teachers to their own younger generations later.

Loved the tribute and dedication to ones that seem to have :thankless" jobs. I have such a reverance for teachers. They don't get paid enough for what they do to shape a mind for a better future. That is priceless. :)
