Dad
Some people choose to stick their heads in the sand.
Dad protected our freedom with his love for the land.
Patriotism from your father was taught soon after birth.
Returning home from the war my hero kissed this earth.
Author's Notes:
well dad served as a medic in ww2 he went from saving lives to saving souls as a pastor later  including my own. thanks dad

I can really appreciate this because my Dad fought in Korea. Perhaps if more would remember those patriots who gave so much in the wars, this country of ours would be more appreciative of the freedoms we have. Excellent writing Dan.   Henry
