In the Beginning
God created the first one that we all know as Eve.
He then decided to make another one just for me.
There can only be just one of you.
But what if there really were two?

Unbelieving eyes would do a double take.
Can one be genuine and the other a fake?
Petals from a rose said one would be mine.
For my heart could never love two at a time.

I would have a planet made just for the two.
So I could decide on the one I would turn to.
Who will then become the whole world to me?
My heart would be torn to set one or two free.

Since I was made to only love but just the one.
I couldn't choose between either so I move on.
What a waste of energy to come up with none.
I will let this rhyming of words be called a pun!

Author's Notes:
even as a twin we have our differences. but what if there was a true duplicate of the one you love. i left off the last 4 lines. so here it is.

Wonderfully written very witty.  Is it ever possible to love more than one completely and purely?  I don't know I've never tried.

Loved it.

Hm...dont think there is a duplicate of anyone :o)

In that case though...i would humbly say...that we should stick with the one God bound us to...

He would not bind us to two...
