Self Servant
Where did you come from?
Where are you going?
Keep telling yourself that you're the all-knowing.
Keep talking about others like they just know nothing,
and you'll find yourself lonely, 'cause you're the only one worthy.
Keep batting those eyes; try that innocent smile.
Keep faking your innocence and acting like a child.
Keep running your mouth with your cheap tawdry wisdom.
You think the world's jaded when they just know you're dumb.
Preach to a world that's ageless and deaf.
Spew words like venom until there's none of you left.
Set a course for your future when you're just as naive
drown cowardise in drugs, promiscuity, and weed.
You think you're better than me? I'll show you a real truth;
Take a look at yourself and how others see you:
Cheap and befowled, ignorant and defiled,
empty and hollow, loose and strung out.
Which of us is the pathetic one now?
Think what you want, I'll just giggle out loud.
Because the rest of us? We all get older one day
Leaving you all alone in your self-serving decay.
Maybe one day, you'll find the right way.
Maybe one day, you'll find the right way.
