Sometimes, I see you;
I hear you; I feel you.
But other times, I seem to question
if you even exist at all.
If anything that's real to me makes sense at all.
You scream;
And at the point it becomes meaningless to me,
the curtains undrape and the show begins.
My life of sins, the sting of the wind.
The cold chill of a past still has a strong, icy grip.
Hit me, I love it.
Hold me, I long for it.
Tear these reels of tape so I might escape for just a while.
But when will the smile of a kind face dissipate?
I'm always in denial.
Please don't leave me,
I love to hate you.
You're the envy of my eye, and my perfect little footstool.
You're the sunder of my heart, and the sweetest, kindest fool.
You're my everything and my nothing, like those that came before you
And I am merely a child...
We are the lost children.
We are the trapped lost children.
We are the Borderline.

Oh this really tugs on my heart

I have a relative that's a borderline.

That really describes their behavior.

Your poem helped me see where they are coming from.

Powerful pathos displayed here, I enjoyed your heartfelt vitriol. Well done.
