Hey Dad
We used to be real thick,
but all the herion has made you sick.
Claim you want help as you shoot up more,
blaming it all on that whore.

No one forced you to put the needle deep in your vein,
but yet you keep doing it again and again.
Not caring what it is doing to me,
and the rest of your family.

I'm watching as you get thinner and thinner,
rather shoot herion then eat your dinner.
Look at yourself and what you have become,
a dirty worthless piece of scum.

For you I have lost all respect,
after all you've done, what did you expect.
You walked out on my mom and me,
to become an addict, I hope you are finally "Happy"

I miss Fletch.  Enjoyed his poetry and his charm.  Hope he gets himself back together.  Sorry for the sadness and pain it has brought you and the family.

Wow! I have been away from CP for several years and had no idea this was going on.

When I was here before Tracye and Fletch were the 'it' couple and so in love.

This breaks my heart for all involved. Wishing you all God's blessings.

My brother has had an issue for 18 years now so I can relate to this. Good luck to you and the family........

Fletch???   My God I never knew.  And with that said, I have to disagree with most of the other statements in here.
Heroin being worse .... no.... try being addicted to food.  You can quit heroin if motivated enough, but you can not stop eating without dying ..... says the 250+ man who knows the addiction and has also destroyed his own health.

should stay within the family .... no .... abuse ran rampant within my wife's family and even when it was reported to school officials it went unstopped.  Years later it surfaced.  Her neighbor two houses away was a county cop who did not know.  It remains buried within the family and still is buried behind unbelieving brains refusing to believe it ever happened.  It needed to come out and the guilty should have been punished.

You get it out and let others know what it has done to your family and what it is continuing to do to you.  Your poems may be enough to help others even if he refuses to let them help him.  Keep talking.  Keep screaming.  Keep the abused child in you talking and letting it out.

Prayers will be with you.

Addiction are hard to beat, heroin being the worst.  Stay strong and do what you need to do to stay healthy emotionally.  There are many support group for individual who have a family member with an addiction.  I'll keep your family in my prayers.  Tina

Heart breaking to read.... Sad it came to this..

Family issues should stay within the family ...

He has to be the one to change his ways.... He knows what he is doing...

Lets pray God will give him the strenght to help himself..

Drugs really is the killer here... He has to want to stop and not blame someone else!!

I know every one is pissed off but you have to handle this kind of sitution  with a delicate hand...

MY prayers to you and yours....~ She Whispers

Heart rendering, heart breaking. I'm not with my family, but I sure wouldn't do them like that. Well done, for what it's worth, from me. Best wishes.
